2. Albert Okwuegbunam, Mizzou

If you started a tight end factory, Missouri’s Albert Okwuegbunam is the physical prototype you’d want to base all your prospects after.

At 6-foot-5, 255 pounds, Okwuegbunam recently declared he’s heading to the NFL Draft, despite having one year of eligibility remaining. His season is over, as Missouri is ineligible to participate in a bowl game.

Statistically, Okwuegbun didn’t have an All-World type season, catching 26 passes for 306 yards. That said, he did have six touchdowns, which matched his 2018 total, when he caught 43 passes for 466 yards.

MIzzou was a mess this season and recently just fired its coach, but Okwuegbunam did enough in his first two seasons to make you feel confident about taking him.

His 2018 campaign was stopped prematurely by injury, yet Okwuegbunam was named a  John Mackey Award finalist after playing in just nine games. As a freshman, he garnered  All-SEC honors as a freshman.

Okwuegbunam’s aforementioned size will be tantalizing for scouts, especially because it seems like he plays lighter when it comes to using him as a receiving target.

Realistically, the Browns could leave the draft with this prospect. Some have Okwuegbunam going later in the first round, while others have him going on day two. Most mocks are giving the tight end position a ton of love in the first round, but that could change once Combine season hits.

Assuming the Browns have a pick in the mid teens, it’ll be interesting to see which way John Dorsey goes. We all know they need a tackle, but tight end is a great need as well. Will Dorsey take the third best tackle, or tight end who can help from day one.
