Cleveland Browns: XFL prospects from week 4 of the league
By Chad Porto
Roughnecks vs. Renegades
P.J. Walker took a backseat this week to BattleHawk’s Jordan Ta’amu in the MVP race. Walker completed only 61% of his passes, for only 239 yards with an interception. His somewhat down week was still better than Landry Jones, as Walker leads the Houston Roughnecks to a 27-20 win over the Dallas Renegades.
Roughnecks- CB Deatrick Nichols
The Roughriders corner Deatrick Nichols picked off Landry Jones twice during the game, which helped seal the win for the Roughnecks.
Roughnecks – QB P.J. Walker
P.J. Walker had a down week for Walker but still had a better week than most other XFL quarterbacks. Walker threw for a touchdown and spread the ball around, and helped get his team the seven-point victory.
Renegades – SAF Micah Abernathy
Renegades safety Micah Abernathy had a huge week for the Renegades and was part of the reason why Walker looked ordinary. Abernathy had five tackles, with a sack, a tackle for a loss and another quarterback hit.
Notes: Landry Jones might be done as the Renegades starters. Not only did he throw another three interceptions but is currently undergoing an MRI on his knee.
