Odell Beckham is going to be one of the key members of the Cleveland Browns on hand to help unveil jerseys but this shouldn’t be seen as something it’s not.

Odell Beckham Jr. will be one of the main roster members on hand to be part of the new jersey unveiling. Because of this, there’s a narrative going around that seems to be gaining traction. Because Beckham is going to be in these new jersey photos, that means the Browns aren’t looking to trade him, according to Ian Rapoport. To be clear, it’s his opinion, not something he’s being told.

Talk about a laugh.

The Browns may be looking to trade him. They may not be looking to trade him. No one knows. Not even the Browns know if they’re going to trade or keep Beckham. Not until the right or wrong offer comes in to make the Browns decide. If the Green Bay Packers roll up during the first day of the NFL draft and offer two first-round picks, a third-round pick, Aaron Rodgers’ brother Jordan (he was on the Bachelorette don’t cha know), Danica Patrick and naming rights to the Lambeau Field to the Cleveland Browns for Beckham, do you really think that Andrew Berry will sit there and say, “Sorry, Green Bay, but we’re not able to trade Beckham anymore, he was in our jersey unveiling.”

There’s one of two reasons why the Browns put Beckham in those new threads. The first is that Beckham asked to be part of it. Why wouldn’t he? He loves the attention. The other reason, and it’s similar to the first, the Browns know that Beckham is a popular athlete and it’s good publicity.

Neither decision is going to affect how the Browns handle his future with the organization, however. To hear Rapoport actually say that Beckham modeling Brown’s jerseys is the reason why he’ll be in Cleveland for 2020 is hilarious.

Watch the video above, but keep in mind how he ends his speel. “….It sounds like he’ll be a Brown in 2020.”

Sounds like? So no guarantee? So you’re guessing? Oh, okay. As long as we’re all aware that this isn’t news, just an opinion. Fair play, Rapoport.

Bring on the draft.
