The latest NFL Draft rumors surrounding the Cleveland Browns continue to center on the organization trading down from the No. 10 pick.

In Cleveland Browns rumors, there’s been plenty of talk of the organization trading down from the No. 10 spot, and KOA Radio’s Ben Allbright added credibility to tall the talk by listing the Browns as “move back” team.

Cleveland’s analytically driven front office has never been a stranger to making draft day trades, and our own Mike Graham forecasted a series of trades that net the Browns two first-round pick.

Allbright listed the Eagles and the Broncos as teams to watch as “move up” teams. Atlanta could also be a team interested in moving up to get a receiver. The Broncos and Browns have already been tied together in trade rumors. The Denver based broadcaster noted that there will be competition for the Broncos if they are indeed, trying to swap picks with the Browns.

Allbright added that six to seven tackles could be selected in the first round, which would be unprecedented.

It’s just guessing on my part at this point, but if the Browns do trade down only to select a tackle, then it’s clear they viewed the tackle class differently from the prognosticators mocking the 2020 draft, meaning they don’t see all that big a difference from the big four (Wirfs, Wills, Thomas, Becton) as what’s being written in the media.

It’s actually not surprising to see the indecisiveness surrounding the tackles. All are talented, but there’s flaws in each.

If pressed, the Browns would be wise to turn in their draft card for Andrew Thomas, that said–shameless plug–watching Graham’s mock draft play out would make for one, crazy draft night.

If the Browns take someone such as Ezra Cleveland, it will be interesting to see how a tackle, taken in a trade down, fits into the roster in 2020.

The public perception is that this player needs to start on day one. However, this is just speculating, but perhaps the front office thinks Kendall Lamm can play some left tackle, or maybe Jack Conklin is moved to the left side.

While these options seem unlikely, so does the idea of starting a left tackle from Boise State in Week 1.
