Browns draft three in the first round

Browns take either LSU DE/LB K’Lavon Chaisson or South Carolina DT Javon Kinlaw at No. 13

This makes sense considering the defense has been gutted in the last two off-seasons. Jabril Peppers, Joe Schobert, Christian Kirksey, both starting safeties, oh, and the defensive line is garbage outside of Myles Garrett. The team needs a defensive end, two linebackers, a safety, and a defensive tackle. Getting Anthony Harris with the trade erases the need at safety this year. This pick is for the defensive line, no matter who is taken. If it’s Chaisson he’s playing opposite Myles Garrett and if it’s Kinlaw, well, he’s a defensive tackle. Where else is he going to line up?

Browns take LSU LB Patrick Queen at No. 22 overall

It doesn’t matter who goes at No. 13, if Patrick Queen is here (and this is my fantasy land draft so he will be), you go with Queen. With the line bolstered, it’s now about adding a linebacker who can up talent pool in the linebacking corp. Ideally, you’d have Queen, Mack Wilson, and Clay Matthews III as your linebackers for 2020, but that’s a pipe dream. My pipe dream and that’s exactly what the lineup would look like because again, my fantasy draft.

Browns take Boise State OT Ezra Cleveland at No. 31 overall

The Browns get the guy they feel is the best overall offensive tackle at a spot they can justify in Ezra Cleveland. Cleveland is a great prospect who’s only suffering because he didn’t play in an SEC or Big Ten school. Cleveland has all the attributes you’d want in a rookie and all he needs is a chance to prove it.
