AFC South

Indianapolis – None

Same thing with Pittsburgh. Sure, you got Deforest Buckner. This is an evaluation of rookie talent acquired in the draft. On day one, Indianapolis did not acquire any rookies. Ergo, fail.

Grade: F (This one’s for you, Luck!)

Tennessee – OT Isaiah Wilson (Georgia)

The Tennessee Titans picked their replacement for Jack Conklin, which as a move on its own is wise. The exact pick, however, left some wondering why. Isaiah Wilson was the 59th best player on CBS’s big board with Ezra Cleveland and Josh Jones ranked ahead of him. Wilson, at best, was a  mid-second-rounder. The move filled a position of need, but was it the right guy?

Grade: B- (Not the best player at his position on the board still, but who knows how these guys will shake out?)

Houston – None

Houston traded away their first for Kenny Stills and Laremy Tunsil. Tunsil missed time and Stills was not really that impressive for what they gave up. Oh, and I don’t care.

Grade: F (have a pick next time!)

Jacksonville – CB C. J. Henderson (Florida), LB K’Lavon Chaisson (LSU)

The Jaguars are in a hard way. Once dubbed Sacksonville, the team that once made up that mighty defense of 2017 is gone. The squad was geared up for getting defensive replacements for disgruntled players and they appeared to get the best available at corner and linebacker. Of course, it’s anyone’s guess if these two SEC products will pan out but at least Jacksonville is concentrating on improving one side of their ball. Gardner Minshew, however, could use some help offensively if you want him to ascend to a higher level of play.

Grade: B+ (Not having any offensive players taken to improve a bad offense will hurt your score.)
