The Cleveland Browns have taken tight end Harrison Bryant from Florida Atlantic to start the 4th round of the 2020 NFL Draft

The Cleveland Browns have taken tight end Harrison Bryant at the no.115 pick in the NFL Draft. Bryant is the Brown’s first pick of the last day, and they got a steal. One of the better tight ends in the country, Bryant did the unthinkable, becoming the first tight end from a non-power five conference to ever win the Mackey Award Winner. The award goes to the best tight end in the country and the Browns are going to need that type of playmaker in the Browns new offense.

Kevin Stefanski will run a lot of double tight end sets, and Bryant’s overall athletism and ability to get open will mean that he’s going to be looked to a lot for big plays and (hopefully) red-zone touchdown catches.

Pro Football Focus has graded him at a 92.3, which is also the broadcast channel for the Cleveland Browns on the radio. Talk about serendipity. They had him as their 147th best player on their big board, so the Browns may have reached for Bryant some but the kid comes highly touted.

This will probably be the day the Browns go on a run for the offense. The team needs an interior linemen still, and a slot receiver. So it’ll be interesting to see what happens there. It should also be noted that Bryant and free-agent Austin Hooper pretty much ensures that David Njoku isn’t in the long-term plans for the Browns.

Does this mean that Njoku will get traded at some point in the last day of the NFL Draft or will they simply let his deal expire? There’s a lot of options in play for the team, not just today but throughout the rest of the off-season.
