Cleveland should get an interior linemen early on day 3 of the NFL Draft
By Chad Porto
The Cleveland Browns have done a lot of solid drafting in the first two days of the Draft, but they’ll need to strike quickly to get a starter inside
The Cleveland Browns are going to be the ninth team on the clock to start the final day of the NFL Draft. Round 4 begins the day and the Browns have the 9th pick of the round or the 115th pick overall. With only thee picks left for the Browns, if they’re going to fill the starting guard position, it needs to be early.
Wisconsin interior linemen Tyler Biadasz is the player to look out for. If he falls to the Browns at No. 115, they’d be foolish not to get him. A few had Biadasz going in the second round, with most having him go in the third. For him to be on the board in round four is a miracle the Browns shouldn’t pass up on.
Assuming everything goes to plan, Biadasz is someone the team can lean on early in his career and could unseat starter Wyatt Teller at guard. Even if he doesn’t, he adds depth which the line is still in need of. There’s not much downside with him. The problem is the Browns have to face the Murder’s Row of landing spots.
The Bengals, the Redskins, the Giants, and the Cardinals are all places that could use a guard. So either the Browns hope he falls past them all to them or they make another move and actually trade up to get him.
Should he go, Washington tackle Trey Adams could work for depth. He might even be a good guard if he’s willing to slide down the line. Kentucky guard Logan Stenberg is also an option.
K.J. Hill also remains in play for the Browns, who could use a receiver like Hill on their team. So if the Browns aren’t dead set on linemen at No. 115 there are options to start off the draft in style
