AFC South

Indianapolis – QB Jacob Eason (Washington), IL Danny Pinter (Ball State), DT Robert Windsor (PSU), CB Isaiah Rodgers (UMass), WR Dezmon Patmon (WSU), SAF Jordan Glasgow (Michigan)

The Colts made the most of their last day, getting a potential franchise QB in Jacob Eason, improving the line with Danny Pinter and stacking the front four with depth in Robert Windsor. If those three alone pans out, this is a great draft for them, especially on day three.

Grade: A-

Tennessee – DT Larrell Murchison (NC State), QB Cole McDonald (Hawaii), SAF Chris Jackson (Marshall), CB Chris Jackson (Marshall)

They stayed safe but made an interesting move late to get Cole McDonald, a quarterback from Hawaii. The university is known for famous collegiate gunslingers but most don’t do well in the pros. McDonald will compete for a roster spot and maybe even a backup spot.

Grade: B

Houston – OT Charlie Heck (North Carolina), CB John Reid (PSU), WR Isaiah Coulter (Rhode Island)

It’s a bit rough to be a Texans fan today. Bill O’Brien’s best moment was yelling at another team for pulling out of a trade. Yikes. Houston didn’t really make any picks in day three that fans should be excited about. Sure, they could be great players one day. We’re just evaluating the optics, however, not the eventual skill.

Grade: C-

Jacksonville – OT Ben Bartch (Saint John’s), CB Josiah Scott (Mich State), ILB Shaquille Quarterman (Miami), SAF Daniel Thomas (Auburn), WR Collin Johnson (Texas), QB Jake Luton (Oregon State), TE Tyler Davis (Georgia Tech), CB Chris Claybrooks (Memphis)

Well, Jacksonville and Carolina had similar drafts. Defense heavy and for the Jaguars that was a great idea. They did get Oregon State’s Jake Luton and Georgia Tech’s Tyler Davis to bolster the offensive attack. There’s hope that Ben Bartch can start right away but that’s a wait-and-see kind of situation.
