NFL Draft: Final day grades for the 2020 NFL Draft
By Chad Porto
NFC South
Tampa Bay – WR Tyler Johnson (Minnesota), DT Khalil Davis (Nebraska), OLB Chapelle Russell (Temple) RB Raymond Calais (Louisana)
The Buccaneers had an even balance on day three. Not many impact players here right now, but maybe a Tyler Johnson or Chapelle Russell could become one.
Grade: B-
New Orleans – QB Tommy Stevens (Miss State)
The Saints traded back into the draft to get Tommy Stevens, but why? What do they see that no one else sees? They traded their entire day three draft for Adam Trautman, so if they wanted to get back into the seventh-round, it had to be for a reason. That said, Stevens won’t make an impact as a rookie, not behind Drew Brees and Taysom Hill on the roster.
Grade: C
Atlanta – ILB Mykal Walker (Fresno State), SAF Jaylinn Hawkins (CAL), K Sterling Hofrichter (Syracuse)
They found some players who could be decent backups, hopefully, but no one really turned up the heat prior to the draft with regards to their stock. Atlanta had a good darft, just not a strong third day.
Grade: C
Carolina – CB Troy Pride Jr. (Notre Dame), SAF Kenny Robinson (West Virginia/XFL), DT Bravvion Roy (Baylor), CB Stantley Thomas-Oliver (FIU)
The Panthers got one of the better young defensive players from the XFL in Kenny Robinson and rounded out the rest of the drafts with defensive players. A modern-era first.
Grade: B
