NFL Draft: Final day grades for the 2020 NFL Draft
By Chad Porto
NFC East
New York (Giants) – CB Darney Holmes (UCLA), IL Shane Lemieux (Oregon), LB Cam Brown (PSU), LB Carter Coughlin (Minn), LB T.J. Brunson (South Carolina), CB Chris Williamson (Minn), ILB Tae Crowder (Georgia)
New York’s drafting focused on improving that defense and hopefully, it shows. Darney Holmes, Shane Lemieux, and Cam Brown could be instant players for a chunk of the Giants’ defensive snaps.
Grade: B
Philadelphia – SAF K’von Wallace (Clemson), OL Jack Driscoll (Auburn), WR John Hightower (Boise State), ILB Shaun Bradley (Temple), WR Quez Watkins (Southern Miss), OT Prince Tega Wanogho (Auburn), OLB/DE Casey Toohill (Stanford)
The Eagles had a rough day two, getting a quarterback in the second round, but their third day saw some gems like Kwon Wallace, Jack Driscoll, and John Hightower. They are going to bully opposing players. Shaun Bradley has a nice upside.
Grade: A-
Dallas – CB Reggie Robinson II (Tulsa), IL Tyler Biadasz (Wisconsin), DE Bradlee Anae (Utah), QB Ben DiNucci (James Madison)
Like a Bond-villain, Jerry Jones conducted his draft from a yacht and found a score of henchmen. Like a Bond villain, Jones took advantage of others’ mistakes. Tyler Biadasz will more than likely start by the end of the year and Bradlee Anae is a grinder of a player who can get his stats even if he isn’t overly athletic. Reminds me of a slender Kevin Carter.
Grade: B+
Washington – OT Saddiq Charles (LSU), WR Antonio Gandy-Golden (Liberty), IL (Keith Ismael (SDSU), OLB Khaleke Hudson (Michigan), SAF Karmen Curl (Arkansas), DE James Smith-Williams (NC State)
Their best selection, Saddiq Charles, is undisciplined and is chronically in trouble. Antonio Gandy-Golden is interesting but as far as third days go, Washington gambled too much.
Grade: D+
