Four outfielders the Cleveland Indians should target ahead of the 2020 trade deadline.

With an outfield situation that’s still unsettled and an offense that ranks among the worst in baseball, fans will look for their Cleveland Indians to pull off a trade ahead of the Aug. 31 trade deadline.

Trades are always risky, but making a deal this season will be unlike any other, as there’s no guarantee the season will even be completed. Would you really want trade prospect Triston McKenzie and then not yield the results of an acquired player because baseball shut down?

It’d be a brutal blow to the Tribe and their fiscally conservative ways. The organization must develop from within and can’t afford to give away good prospects. McKenzie may not be a Top 100 prospect now, but at one time, he was. Trust me, there are teams who’d love to have him.

So, even with all the red flags, the Indians must realize they have one of the top starting rotations in the game. Can the Tribe’s front office gamble on wasting the opportunity that’s presented itself, either for the rest of this season, or even next?

Chris Antonetti and Mike Chernoff have never shied from making trades before, but this deadline, will serve as the ultimate test as to what they’re willing to gamble.
