6 Browns whose stock is booming after edging Eagles Week 11
2. Adrian Clayborn
Adrian Clayborn’s stock might not have been worth a stick of gum entering Week 11. Signed as a rotational addition last offseason, there was some hope Clayborn could spell Myles Garrett and flash in reserve since his legs would be fresh.
That hadn’t been the case. Clayborn totaled two sacks during the first two weeks of the season and hadn’t been heard from since…until he tallied two sacks against the Eagles.
His five pressures also equaled his entire output for all of 2020–and this is a guy who has played 110-pass rushing snaps.
Why Clayborn hasn’t been able to produce up until this point remains a mystery, but perhaps this is the contest that serves as a springboard for the rest of the season.
Additionally, Clayborn’s production came without Myles Garrett on the field. With the edge rusher, many thought the Browns would struggle to generate pressure and that just wasn’t the case.
