Browns: 5 players whose stock sank vs Eagles in Week 11
3. Andrew Sendejo
I try to leave Sendejo off of here, but the veteran doesn’t make it easy on me.
Sendejo earned the ire of the 12,000 in attendance for blasting an unsuspecting receiver during a play that couldn’t have been any farther away from the ball. The Browns ended up with a sack on the play, but it was negated because of Senedjo’s blunder.
He’s also in the shot on Dallas Goedert’s touchdown with just over 30 ticks remaining. I’m not pinning that entirely on Sendejo, rather, it’s worth pointing out that when the other team scores a touchdown, he’s usually lagging behind.
As far as replacements go, I think the ship has sailed. If any changes were going to come, I think we would’ve seen it after the Bye.
Fans have asked about Ronnie Harrison and Karl Joseph starting at safety, but both are better suited for strong safety. Sheldrick Redwine is probably the man who would replace Sendejo, but as I just mentioned, if it was going to happen, it would’ve transpired after the Bye.
Now, with Harrison nursing a knee injury (he didn’t play in the second half) the Browns are even thinner at an already skinny spot.
