The Cleveland Browns really, really needed to beat the Giants, and with New York needing a victory to stay in the playoff hunt, those beloved orange helmets delivered in front of a national audience.
Naturally, Browns fans collectively became a nervous wreck watching the NBC pregame show, when statistics guru Steve Kornacki stated that if the Browns lost, they would find themselves outside of the playoff picture with two weeks to go.
However, unlike past Browns teams of the previous two decades, Kevin Stefanski’s group acted like a playoff team, controlling the game so that the outcome was never seriously in doubt.
And while there’s a ton of good to takeaway from this huge victory, nothing is ever perfect.
