Cleveland Indians: 3 impacts Eddie Rosario will have on 2021 Tribe
2. Instant offense
Eddie Rosario isn’t going to replace Francisco Lindor in the hearts of Tribe fans, but he will help solidify the middle of Terry Francona’s batting order.
Perhaps Ramirez would take Lindor’s spot from last season and hit third. That would pave the way for Rosario to hit fourth, with Franmil Reyes protecting him in the No. 5 spot.
Before the Indians signed Rosario, there was a major concern as to how this club was going to score runs. Rosario isn’t the end-all, be-all to that answer, but he certainly helps take the pressure of Tribe starters to throw a perfect game every outing.
Let’s hope Rosario treats Progressive Field the same way he did as a Twin. While wearing another uniform, Rosario was .353 (60-for-170) with a 1.031 OPS. Break it down, and he owns 11 homers, 12 doubles, two triples and 25 RBIs when suiting up on The Corner.
