2. Von Miler, EDGE, Broncos

After missing out on J.J. Watt, finding a rusher to play opposite of Myles Garrett remains a priority. The Browns could target one of these edge rushers, but they could take the decision out of the player’s hand by executing a trade for Von Miller.

It remains to be seen what the Broncos will do with Miller. Some think they’ll just release him if they can’t re-work his deal. Really, it would behoove the organization to deal him, though, because if they can pull it off, Denver will save $18 million against the cap. With Denver going nowhere in 2021, fixing the financials and stockpiling assets is probably the way to go. Browns fans know this method well.

Miller isn’t the elite player he was when he helped Peyton Manning win his second Super Bowl and he’s coming off a season in which he didn’t play (ankle). But during 2019, when many thought Miller wasn’t at his best, the rusher compiled 37 pressures, which was five more than Garrett totaled in 2020, according to the Bleacher Report.

As is the case with Gilmore, Miller is under contract for one more season. Although Cleveland could try to re-work his deal, while extending him for another season.

Getting this deal done will steal all the headlines, and it would make the Browns better up front.
