Browns: 3-round mock draft nets two defensive starters
This recent 2021 NFL Browns Mock Draft found two starters for Cleveland.
Defense continues to rule the day for the Browns and the mock drafters prognosticating what Cleveland will do when they go on the clock April 29.
It’s hard to see the Browns going any other way, with their quarterback in place behind a stellar offensive line, with two star running backs, to boot. Wide receiver is the offense’s biggest need, and that need could be addressed in the later rounds.
With Odell Beckham likely out for some portion of the first half of the season (injury), the onus will fall on Jarvis Landry and Donovan Peoples-Jones to pick up the slack. Rashard Higgins’ free agency will also be closely watched by a fan base hungry to bring him back.
Stopping Patrick Mahomes remains the Browns’ biggest problem, though. Cleveland must generate pressure via its front four, while also having a secondary that can make quarterbacks hold onto the ball for another half second.
This three-round mock draft comes from noted CBS mocker, Ryan Wilson. The scribe sticks mostly with defense, but does add an offensive weapon who can help in the third round.
