Three players being predicted to sign with Browns in free agency.

Merry free agency, Browns fans. The “legal tampering” period portion is now underway, with players officially eligible to sign new contracts on Wednesday.

It’s a big day for football fans, as the NFL begins it’s new calendar year.

Why is free agency so exciting? It’s where all the puzzle pieces begin to fall into place. A team’s decisions to sign players influence how they handle their drafts. Good news for those who can’t get enough mock drafts!

The Browns promise to make some exciting moves in free agency, whether it be trades, or the signing of a new player. Cleveland is coming off the biggest season in the expansion era, and now the goal is to move closer to winning the franchise its first Super Bowl championship.

The Browns enter free agency with $24.36 million in salary cap space, compared with $61 million last winter.

GM Andrew Berry made a splash last season signing Jack Conklin, Austin Hooper and Case Keenum to big contracts. It’s unlikely he’ll be able to sign multiple impact players, considering he has less money to work with. There’s a way they could do it without killing the cap, but one thing is certain: The Browns have to mark a move that makes them appreciably better on defense.

That said, the Browns are expected to improve the roster. Here’s what’s being predicted.
