Browns free agency: 3 players being predicted to sign with Browns
2. Dalvin Tomlinson, DT, Giants
The Athletic’s prediction of Dalvin Tomlinson make sense, because Cleveland needs some bodies on the defensive line with the expected loss of Larry Ogunjobi in free agency.
Tomlin started 64 games the past four seasons and tallied seven sacks and 19 quarterback hits over the past two years.
Elsewhere on the defensive interior, the Browns return veteran Sheldon Richardson, who was effective last season. Cleveland also had 2020 draft pick Jordan Elliott. The Browns seem to really like him, but thrusting him into the starting lineup may be a tall order in year two.
Tomlinson would be an excellent player who can be productive, while at the same time, easing Elliott into more playing time.
As for the draft, the big defensive tackle I’d like to see the Browns pick is Alabama’s Christian Barmore. He may be available and would be hard to pass up.
