The Cavs snapped their most recent losing streak with an impressive performance against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night.

The Cavs won big on Wednesday night against the Boston Celtics, sending them to .500 on the year on St. Patrick’s Day. The Cavaliers saw one of their best team efforts of the season in the 117-110 victory.

Led by Collin Sexton, Darius Garland, and Larry Nance, the Cavaliers put on one of their best all-around offensive performances, especially among those three. Sexton shot 10-20 from the floor, and a perfect 7-7 from the free-throw line to finish with 29 points. He also had a nice night defensively, helping take the Celtics out of their rhythm.

Garland had a nice night himself, going 9-16 for 25 points, with both he and Sexton adding six assists. Nance Jr. was an all-around wrecking ball on both sides of the court, going 7-8 with 10 rebounds, 4 assists, and a grand total of 18 points.

Isaac Okoro, Dean Wade, and Cedi Osman also had nice performances with Okoro finishing with 15 points and shooting .500 from the floor. Osman had a great night with the ball, finishing with 10 points, while Wade finished with eight but went 3-4 from the floor and 2-3 from three.

Despite the strong performance from the Cavs, Jayson Tatum and Jalen Brown both went off for big nights of 29 and 28 points respectively. The problem for the Celtics was that no one else really did. Celtics guard Marcus Smart had a hard time guarding the Cavs backcourt.

That spelled doom for the Celtics, who couldn’t keep pace with the Cavs.

The Cavs won their first game since the All-Star break and did it without Kevin Love, who once again did not play. The continuing drama around Love’s injury and how the rest of the roster view him will continue to be a major storyline throughout the rest of the season.
