3 over 30 free agents the Browns roster really needs

The Browns have done enough in free agency to be one of the eight for nine teams teams that’s improved for 2021.

By adding John Johnson, they’ve addressed the safety position and now defensive coordinator Joe Woods can deploy a three-safety, two-linebacker scheme as the Browns seek to improve their coverage, especially against tight ends.

Alas, Cleveland’s defense is in need of a veteran presence capable of making plays, especially if this team is to make a run deep into the playoffs where Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen may be standing in the way of advancement.

Obviously, adding J.J. Watt would’ve put this argument to rest, but unfortunately, Watt signed with Arizona.

With Cleveland so young on defense and with question marks at key positions such as corner and linebacker, the Browns roster could really use one of these players.

Three of the players listed here are over 30–and that’s OK. They may not be in their prime, but they’re still good enough to not only start, but they’re capable of making plays..

Here’s four veterans the Brown roster could really use.
