Round 6, pick 211, Trevon Grimes, WR, Florida

I’ve mocked him to the Browns before and I’ll stick with him, fully aware I’ve already mocked a receiver Cleveland’s way.

Grimes was a five-star recruit coming out of high school, who Buckeye fans will remember, originally signed with Ohio State.

He ended up going to Florida and was a two-year starter. In his final season, he only caught 38 passes, but nine went four touchdowns!

He’d be an intriguing red-zone target, but, there’s still a lot of tools that could use polishing, particularly his route running. NFL.com noted how he won’t leave many defenders guessing as what he’s going to do, in addition to mentioning how he needs to improve as a downfield threat who can win more contested passes.

Alas, he’d be a sixth-round pick, so you’re not drafting a guy to start day one. NFL.com projects Grimes as an end of the roster candidate, and if not that, a fit for the practice squad in year one.
