Round 4, 110 Baron Browning, LB, Ohio State

Free agency saw the Browns maintain depth at linebacker. They signed Anthony Walker away from the Colts and then re-signed Maclom Smith, who proved to be a solid addition to the team last season.

Cleveland will also return Sione Takitaki, Mack Wilson and Jason Phillips in 2021. The team is really high on Phillips, who’s speed is eye-catching. Now that he’s had time to incubate, perhaps the 2020 third-rounder will see more playing time.

Adding Browning here would be a real steal for the Browns, or for any team that picks him. Browning used 2020 to show he be a three down player. In addition to be an effective blazer, Browning showed that he could could cover the Big Ten’s best tight ends.

If picked, Browning should get time to incubate, much like Jacob Phillips received last season. By the end of 2020, the LSU product was playing more, and now figures to be an integral part of the linebacking corps in 2021.
