Round 4, Pick 132, Trill Williams, S, Syracuse

Had a playmaker’s reputation at Syracuse for scoring three touchdowns in three different ways.

His Syracuse career spanned 28 games and in that time, Williams logged 93 tackles, four interceptions, 10 deflections and three forced fumbles.

The Browns are poised to start new free-agent signee John Johnson at one of the safety spots, while it’s expected to Greet Delpit will return from injury ready to play. Additionally, Ronnie Harrison will see a ton of snaps, as it’s been reported how defensive coordinator Joe Woods will go with more more two-linebacker, three-safety schemes.

After the three starters, Sheldrick Redwine possesses the most experience, so there’s a spot for a safety, particularly one that can play in coverage.

Williams is far form the perfect prospect, as NFL.com projects him as a backup/special teamer, but at 6-1 and 198 pounds, in addition to his ability to force turnovers, he’s someone worth looking at here.
