The Cavaliers lost to the Bulls on Saturday to the tune of 106-96. When you get a shot at the Bulls and don’t have to worry about Zach LaVine, you have to take it. The Bulls guard missed Saturday’s game against the Cavs, and despite the Bulls being a struggling team already, the Cavaliers couldn’t make it count. Collin Sexton put up 22 points, but had absolutely no answer defensively for a weak Bulls backcourt, getting torched all game.

Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, and Kevin Love both had double-doubles, with Larry Nance providing a solid presence off the bench but the name of the game, or lack thereof, was offensive output. The Cavs just couldn’t keep pace with the Bulls’ three-point shooting, and Chicago’s not even that great at it themselves.

The Cavs bench was largely inert all game, and the passing was non-existent outside of whatever Garland was able to cook up for Cleveland.

Top 3 Game Performers

1 Point – Isaac Okoro

He only scored 13 points, but he shot 5-7 from the floor, and for a player who’s struggled all year offensively, these are the kind of nights you want to see.

2 Points – Kevin Love

Kevin Love had a good game, putting up 14 points, 11 rebounds, and playing solid defense. Love posted a +/- of +3, the second-highest on the Cavs. Love continues to not play a lot of minutes, only putting up 30 but when he’s on the court the Cavs seem to have more confidence.

3 Points – Darius Garland

When you put up a double-double, 22 points, and 12 assists, as well as put up a good defensive effort against an admittedly weak Bull backcourt, you get to have the top spot. Garland has been playing very well on both sides of the court as of late and if this keeps up, Garland may become a clear-cut guy to build around for the future. Consistency is the name of the game, however.
