Round 4, pick 110: Anthony Schwartz, Auburn, WR

Grade: B

Full transparency, I am not the Anthony Schwartz whisperer, but I like the idea of the Browns looking at a receiver here. Heck, they found Donovan Peoples-Jones later in the draft a season ago.

Here’s what you need to know about the prospect: He’s fast. REALLY fast. At his pro day, He ran a 4.25 40-yard dash. He missed catching John Ross, a former Bengals first-round pick, by 0.03 seconds.

Cleveland certainly needs to do a better job of stretching the field, unfortunately, as NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein pointed out, he’s probably more of a gadget receiver at this point. That doesn’t mean the 6-foot, 186-pounder can’t become a regular contributor in the future, while helping on gadget plays in 2021.

If the Browns can develop him enough to the point he can become an everydown threat, his speed will command attention from defenses.

He played three seasons at Auburn, saving his best season for last, catching 54 catches for 636 yards and three touchdowns in 2020.

While there be more complete receivers available here, Schwartz’s speed is a trait worth gambling on 110 picks into the draft.
