Round 6, pick 211: Larry Borom, OT/G, Mizzou

Grade: C

Brugler mocks the Browns someone capable of playing tackle, by sending Larry Borom Cleveland’s way. That said, the way NFL.com’s Lance Zeirlein describes it, getting Borom to the point where he can play tackle in a game is going to be a huge undertaking.

He’s big, at 6-foot-5, and with teams very willing to develop big offensive guard, Zeirlein indicated that if the Mizzou product is to have a future in the NFL, it will be at guard.

That’s why you take someone like Borom here. You bring him into the mix and he won’t face the pressure of making an immediate impact.

Good teams do this all time, and the really good teams always seem to end up producing starters. Unfortunately, I’m thinking of the Steelers here.

I wish he looked better at tackle, but if he did, Borom would probably be a higher pick.
