Linebacker

OLB Elerson Smith

This is about who to draft, but a player like Elerson Smith may be better off being a free agent signing. Now, he didn’t make a lot of noise in college, but who knows? He’s 6’7 for crying out loud and runs a fair 4.71 40-yard dash. With his size, he can play defensive end and linebacker. Pure project.

ILB Dylan Moses

From pure-project to potential late-round steal, that’s Dylan Moses. He runs a 4.46 40-yard dash and racked up 75+ tackles over the last two years. Maybe not the next monster-in-the-middle, but Moses could be an interesting get.

OLB Grant Stuard

A fast linebacker, posting a 4.52-40 time, Grant Stuard is the perfect player for the Browns to acquire in the later rounds. A sure-tackler who may be a project or just a special teamer, but at least he’ll be fast enough to get to the edge.

ILB Tuf Borland

An all-around athlete, Tuf Borland is more a leader and old-school middle linebacker than he is anything else. A great character pick who has the ability to at least fill gaps. He may not be the best prospect but who knows?

OLB Riley Cole

With a rumored 4.67 40-yard dash, Riley Cole brings speed and consistency to the table. He’s improved every year he was at Southern Alabama. He finished his senior campaign with 96 tackles, 6.5 tackles for a loss, and two sacks.
