LB Elijah Lee

The Browns went out and upgraded not just their linebacking corp but their safety group as well with the recent draft. Taking Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah in the second-round, and Tony Fields II in the fifth round, both men are seen as huge improvements to the linebacking corp the team already has.

Both men can also play a third-safety spot, meaning they can be kept on the field for every down as needed. That type of versatility will help the Browns be better on the defensive side of the ball regardless if they run with three linebackers, three safeties, or three corners. That’s assuming both Owusu-Koramoah and Fields are able to prove their worth.

Elijah Lee is someone that barely made the team last year, after spending part of the season in Detroit and having been in San Francisco the year prior. If Lee isn’t on the list, then Malcolm Smith may be.

Both linebackers aren’t seen in the best light, and their presence on the team was part of the reason why the Browns went and drafted two new linebackers and signed Anthony Walker this offseason.
