4. Cleveland Indians OF, Harold Ramirez

Say this about Harold Ramirez: He doesn’t get cheated at the plate. He’s up there looking to hit and if it’s in the zone, he’ll be swinging.

It’s worked out pretty well for the Tribe, as Ramirez is batting .280 (.782 OPS). He’s added six homers and 22 RBIs. Pretty good, considering the offensive woes that haunted the lineup for the first few months of the campaign.

Ramirez is now more valuable than ever, giving Terry Francona an everyday option in the outfield now that right fielder (Josh Naylor) and left fielder (Eddie Rosario) are on the Injured List.

The Tribe’s gotten some bad breaks with players who’ve gotten away, but they’ve gotten lucky with Ramirez. He had a fine season with Miami in 2019, then appeared in just three games in the truncated 2020 season and was basically written off.

I don’t see his game going to another level, but that’s OK. He’s a really good major leaguer and the Tribe, especially the 2021 version, desperately needs those in their lineup.
