These are five players who are on the roster bubble for 2021.

The Browns have a lot of decisions still to make, even if none of them pertain to the starting lineup. While we’ve documented the players we think will or should be cut over the last few weeks, we’ve also been tracking guys on the bubble as well.

There’s a distinct difference between the two core concepts. The first, be it players we think will be cut, revolves around the players who have done nothing to interest us, or have proven that they aren’t good enough to take someone else’s job. They’ve made no plays, had blown assignments, and are guys who wouldn’t make the 53 man roster regardless.

Guys on the bubble are a different breed entirely. They’re guys who could or should make the team but need to do something more to prove it. They’re on the chopping block, no doubt, but they’re just as likely to make the team as they are to be cut from it. Everyone on this list has a chance to make the team, but have to prove it somehow.

The Browns have to decide if these guys are worth keeping on, if there are better options on the team, or the eventual free agent pool to pick from. It’s entirely possible these five players make the team. It’s also possible they all get cut. It’s also possible that only some make the team and others don’t.

If they don’t step up, however, then they’ll likely find themselves playing elsewhere in 2021.
