4 things Cleveland Browns got right vs Falcons in preseason finale
1. Cleveland Browns got right: Starters made it through
Whew, the Cleveland Browns loved making us sweat in the preseason finale against the Falcons.
Imagine if something like what happened to J.K. Dobbins happened to Kareem Hunt or Baker Mayfield? The season could be over before it started.
Fortunately, the Browns played some key starters, especially on offense, and mostly, the results were great. In fact, the only thing the Browns didn’t do was cash in their first drive for a touchdown
Cleveland coach Kevin Stefanski elected to go for it on 4th and 6 near the end zone, but Baker Mayfield’s pass for Austin Hooper fell incomplete.
On the next drive, Mayfield hit KhaDarel Hodge on a pass to get into the red zone and then cashed out the drive for a touchdown to Hodge moments later.
Mayfield finished his night 6-of-10 for 113 yards and a quarterback rating of 132.5
