4 things Cleveland Browns got right vs Falcons in preseason finale
3. Cleveland Browns Got right: D-Line is going to be fun
With the caveat the Falcons looked like an XFL team, second-year veteran Jordan Elliott really had a night for the Browns, notably making a tackle for a loss with just over two minutes to go in the second quarter, before adding another run stuff on the next play.
Then, there’s Malik McDowell the 2017 draft pick who hadn’t played in even a preseason game until a week ago. He should be on this roster and I don’t know how the Browns can cut him. He will be playing elsewhere if he’s cut.
We haven’t even seen Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney on the field together and go ahead and throw Takk McKinley’s name in there, as well.
The question of the 53-man roster really comes down to will the Browns keep five tackles or five defensive ends? I can’t see Cleveland cutting Andrew Billings, Malik Jackson, Tommy Togiai and Elliott.
