5. Cleveland Browns: Mack Wilson, LB

It’s crazy to think that about a month and half ago, Mack Wilson’s name was being thrown around as a bubble candidate.

Now, if the third-year veteran is cut, it’ll be stunning, as the Browns have a need that the Alabama product can fill.

He didn’t play a ton against the Falcons in the finale, but Wilson still managed to get noticed. Wilson notched three tackles in the first half and logged a quarterback hurry on one of his two pass-rushing snaps.

The bicep injury to Jacob Phillips really elevated Wilson’s presence on the linebacking corps, even with the emergence of Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah.

I don’t think JOK will start on Week 1, rather, defensive coordinator Joe Woods can find spots to ease the rookie in, clearing the way for Wilson to be the starting weak-side linebacker.
