3. Cleveland Browns: A.J. Green, CB

If A.J. Green is going to make the team as a corner, he’s going to have to be a big-time contributor ons special teams, as that’s where most of his action will take place.

Green had a huge blunder against the Falcons, when as the gunner on Mike Priefer’s squad, he ran down and caught the punt without giving the Falcons returner a chance to make a clean catch.

I think Green will make the club as the team’s sixth corner, but obviously, this wasn’t a good look.

The Browns notably added Green in 2020 after he went undrafted by offering him $145,000 guaranteed. He spent the season on the practice squad, and news of his development was mostly positive.

Green started the game at corner, playing opposite of Brian Allen. According to The Athletic’s Zac Jackson, Green’s been the fifth corner in camp rotations.

Jackson added that the Browns will probably dress 10 defensive backs against the Chiefs on Sept. 9, and it’s still really a guess at t who those 10 players will be.
