5 Cleveland Browns whose stocks sunk after Chargers heartbreaker
5. Cleveland Browns P Jamie Gillan
Last week, we talked about Jamie Gillan being inconsistent, this week, it was just bad, notably , his last kick which went for just 42 yards and was returned for 12 yards by Chargers returner K.J. Hill.
Gillan’s’ second punt was just as bad, going for a measly 39 yards. The Chargers started on their own 39, and working with a relatively short field, with a sizzling hot quarterback, scored a touchdown on their ensuing drive taking a 28-27 lead.
Gillan’s first punt went for 52 yards, but rolled into the end zone for a touchback.
I’m not sure what’s going on, but the Scottish Hammer won this gig in 2019 because of his ability to bomb the ball down the field. He unseated a very good incumbent, Britton Colquit, to get the job.
Now, it seems, Gillan’s job is going to be in jeopardy if he can’t get things back trending the right direction.
