3. Browns S John Johnson

OK, shutting down Teddy Bridgewater isn’t the same as beating Patrick Mahomes or Justin Herbert, but John Johnson was taking a beating from fans heading into this game.

Some card carrying members of the Dawg Pound were even comparing him to Andrew Sendejo! Considering the team invested mega-millions in Johnson to lure him out of LA over the winter, well, insert your green-face emoji here.

Johnson rebounded with a stellar performance against Denver. He had a big stop near the line of scrimmage early in the game and then recorded a first-half pick when it looked like Denver was going to score.

It was a gift from Bridgewater, but Johnson made the play. No blown coverages, no one getting lost. Courtland Sutton wasn’t wide open streaking across the field. The safeties were in the right pace and Johnson finished the play.

Johnson had there total total tackles and gets Big Ben and the Steelers next. It was a good game, but with his contract, it’ll be time to deliver another against Pittsburgh.
