5 reasons Cleveland Browns overcome OBJ adversity, beat Bengals
5. Cleveland Browns can do enough defensively
It’s hard to shut down a quarterback like Joe Burrow. He’s going to get his stats, but fortunately, the Browns can stall Cincinnati in other ways.
For example, Cincinnati’s offensive line is suspect. and while tackle Jonah Williams had a solid game against the Jets, New York doesn’t have anyone like Myles Garrett. If Jadeveon Clowney plays, even better, but we’ll have to see how the practice week progresses.
Additionally, Cincy’s interior line can be vulnerable, as well. That certainly bodes well for stopping Joe Mixon and the ground game.
I will say, Browns need a better effort from defensive tackle Malik Jackson. He was terrible against the Steelers, earning a grade of 38.6. It’s the third time this season he’s earned a mark below 40.0.
Perhaps we’ll see Jordan Elliott? He played OK last Sunday. In the preseason, it was thought he would have more of an impact. Tommy Togiai doesn’t appear ready for serious playing time.
