3 Cleveland Browns who saw their Week 9 stocks sink in Cincinnati
Victory Monday was spent recapping the Cleveland Browns Week 9 41-16 win against the Cincinnati Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium, and the highlights still haven’t gotten old.
Plenty of Browns saw their stocks rise in victory as the team and fans alike were reminded as to how good Cleveland can be when Odell Beckham Jr. isn’t on the field.
It seems like hating on OBJ, but it’s not. The stats don’t lie. The Browns were better without him. They made the playoffs for the first time since the 1994 season while OBJ was recovering from surgery. It’s the equivalent of moving a mountain, and Beckham wasn’t there.
Beckham will move on to a new team that will accept his freelancing ways. That’s the new buzz word–“freelance.” It means Beckham came break routes to get open in an attempt to make a play. Wide receivers do it…especially the great ones, and they usually have success.
Why didn’t OBJ enjoy success here? He blames Baker Mayfield based off his dad’s Insta repost.
Alas, he’s gone now and while there’s plenty to celebrate, there are some Browns who didn’t have a good day on the riverfront. Here’s 3 Browns who saw their stocks take a hit.
