In Browns rumors, Odell Beckham Jr. has been tied to the Seattle Seahawks, and things got a little more interesting on Monday when coach Pete Carroll left the door open for the wideout.

Hours after the Browns shellacked Cincinnati with Beckham, Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio reported on Seattle’s potential fit during NBC’s Sunday night broadcast, and Carroll was asked about Beckham at his Monday presser.

The Browns worked out a separation agreement with Beckham, and he was officially placed on waivers on Monday. He’ll become a unrestricted free agent if he’s not claimed by today at 4 p.m.

As for Seattle’s interesting in the one-time great, via NJ.com.

“You’ll have to wait and see how this all goes,” Carroll told reporters on Monday, “We’re aware of what’s going on and we’ve been involved to understand it and compete, to know what’s happening. We’ll let you know as it all happens. I got to wait.So I didn’t say yes, or I didn’t say no. That’s just ’cause — you’ll see.”

Seattle could place a waiver claim on Beckham and would have a decent stab at claiming the veteran wideout. The Seahawks season stalled after Russell Wilson missed time with a broken finger, and Carroll sees his team sitting at 3-5.

The worst team in the league, which employs former Browns GM John Dorsey, already said “No.”

Former Browns WR Odell Beckham views as fit in SEA

With Wilson coming back, Seattle may be thinking Beckham could be another weapon added to an offense that’s already pretty good when Wilson is under center.

Beckham is viewed as a fit with Wilson because he’d supposedly be able to have more success freelancing, meaning if he does break off a route to run his own path, Wilson is more likely to find him.

It sounds good for Beckham, but I’ll continue to monitor team chemistry if Odell indeed ends up in Seattle. DK Metcalf is the alpha receiver right now, how will Beckham’s presence impact the target share?

The Cardinals are running away with the NFC West, but if they can string together some wins, a Wild Card berth is in play in what’s looking like a jumbled playoff picture.

As for the Browns, well, OBJ’s been gone one week and the offense enjoyed a rejuvenation that has the fan base having fun again.
