The Bad

Greed Williams, Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt, and Jack Conklin being hurt

Injuries were bad enough coming into the game. With Nick Chubb being on the COVID-list, and Greedy Williams, Kareem Hunt, and Jack Conklin being injured. The injuries have hurt the Browns considerably. Due to their injuries, the Browns lost their best corner, best running back, second-best running back, and their best run-blocking tackle. Blake Hance has had to fill in for Conklin and while Hance is a good guard, he’s not on Conklin’s level as a tackle. The loss of Chris Hubbard has really hindered the team.

Baker Mayfield and Troy Hill getting hurt

The Browns lost Troy Hill in an ugly injury at the end of the game, that saw him get carted off the field. Losing him was devastating enough considering the team was already bracing for a loss. Yet, the Browns also lost Baker Mayfield to a knee injury during the game as well. Mayfield had a bad game plan thrust upon him and it showed. The Patriots’ defense knew exactly how to take away the routes and Mayfield suffered for it.

Kevin Stefanski’s game plan

Talk about stubbornness. Kevin Stefanski refuses to get creative and instead tries to get cute. He thinks himself to be some savant play-caller, but when looking at third and second, instead of loading up the backfield and line of scrimmage, Stefanski goes into a shotgun formation, and shocking; the Patriots sniff out the run. The Browns had both Andy Janovich and Johnny Stanton active on the roster, but for some reason, Stefanski decided to barely use them. Highlighting once again Stefanski’s stubbornness to adapt to his situation.
