5 Cleveland Browns whose stock went up in ugly Lions win
3. Cleveland Browns TE Austin Hooper
Austin Hooper, one of the Cleveland Browns big signings from 2020, had been trending the wrong way for most of the seasons, but the veteran has really come up big the past two weeks.
He bailed out David Njoku’s drop in the end zone last week by making a great catch for a score, then he was Cleveland’s most productive receiver against the Detroit ,catching four balls four 52 yards.
Njoku had two catches for 20 yards, and, at least right now, it looks like the Browns are going to have to make a decision in choosing between the two tight ends for next season. Njoku will be a free agent and Hooper is under contract.
Njoku, a first-round pick, is the more explosive player, but Hooper’s hands have been a God send the past couple of weeks.
