5 reasons Cleveland Browns will win Week 14 rematch vs Ravens
Browns defense rises in AFC North games
Incredibly, the strength of the Cleveland Browns in December is its defense–something no one would’ve predicted back at the end of September.
But, lo and behold, Joe Woods’ group has played very, very well against opponents in the AFC North.
The Steelers only scored 15 on Halloween, while the high-octane Bengals managed just 16 a week later. Mix in Baltimore scoring 16 in Week 12, and well, you couldn’t ask for anything more out of a defense in rugged AFC North.
With the exception of the New England game, the Browns defense has pretty much been playing lights out since that aforementioned Halloween game, which, again, is something nobody would’ve predicted after watching the Cardinals and Chargers carve the unit up.
Denzel Ward is playing at an elite level and Greg Newsome isn’t far behind. JOK is proving to be the steal of the draft while Myles Garrett adds to his sack count on a weekly basis.
At the rate the Browns’ offense is going, the defense is going to have to come up big against Baltimore for a second consecutive game.
