4 Cleveland Browns whose stocks are down in Packers Christmas letdown
3. Whomever was covering Devante Adams
We all know Aaron Rodgers is great, but watching him play pitch-and-catch with Devante Adams was sickening.
It’s not like Adams was going over the top on every down, rather, Rodgers was getting him the ball 3-5 yards from the line, and the receiver would pick up some more after the catch.
Rodgers completed 10 of 11 passes in M.J. Stewart’s direction, although all of those completions only netted for 44 yards. That said, Stewart was on coverage for two touchdowns.
Greedy Williams didn’t have a great day, either, surrounding four catches on five targets, while giving up 65 yards.
Pro Bowler Denzel Ward had issues too, surrendering four catches on eight targets for 57 yards.
I won’t get too worked up about the defense, because allowing only 24 to the Packers is good enough to win.
