1. Cleveland Browns Baker Mayfield trade partner: Detroit Lions

The man who picked Baker Mayfield first overall, John Dorsey, is currently employed by the Detroit Lions, so naturally, you’ve got to keep an eye on his team.

Dorsey is a senior adviser with the Lions, so his voice probably isn’t loud enough to bring Mayfield to Detroit.

But who knows what the Lions front office will look like after the offseason. They made the trade that sent Matt Stafford to LA while Jared Goff was brought in to hold the fort down.

The Lions are 2-12-1, so, as we know in Cleveland, nobody’s job is safe. Jared Goff is due $26 million next season. I don’t see who would take his contract on. It gets a little easier to get out of his deal after the 2023 season, but if the Lions traded him, they’d probably have to sweeten it up a potential deal to attract a trade partner.
