Kevin Love and Evan Mobley duel it out for top spot in Cavs Top 3
By Chad Porto
Kevin Love and Evan Mobley were among the few highlights in the loss.
Kevin Love and Evan Mobley were among the only highlights the team had against the Wizards. Playing without four key players in Darius Garland, Cedi Osman, Jarrett Allen, and the recently injured Ricky Rubio, the Cavs were unable to muster any real offense outside of Mobley and Love.
This wasn’t surprising, as few teams, if any, can lose most of their lineup and reserve unit and still win. Despite the odds, the Cavaliers saw a lot to be impressed with from their two big men. Love had not looked this crisp for this long period of time in a while and Mobley was nearly destroying the Wizards on his own during the first quarter.
This is a team sport, however, and the rest of the Cavs couldn’t do their fair share. The team ended up falling 110-93 to the Wizards in a game that was largely over by halftime. The Cavaliers fell to 20-15 on the season.
The three best from the Cavs’ blowout loss against the Wizards.

The one point from the game goes to Lauri Markkanen who had 11 points, eight rebounds, and four assists while tying with Isaac Okoro for fourth in points on the game.
The player who gets the two points from the Wizards game goes to Evan Mobley, who almost took the top spot for himself. Mobley had 21 points, five rebounds, three assists and was one of the biggest reasons the Cavs were in it for as long as they were.
The game’s three points go to Kevin Love, who had a double-double of 24 points, and 11 rebounds in 29 minutes of action. He had shot just under 50% from the floor and 40% from three-point land.
