The Cleveland Cavaliers held off The Kings thanks to Jarrett Allen and Kevin Love.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have moved to 23-18 on the season after they were able to hold off a Sacramento Kings team that didn’t want to call it a night. Cleveland pulled off the win in a 109-108 thriller that saw the Kings mount a second-half comeback. It was a close affair by a tough team, but the Cavaliers still got the win behind Jarrett Allen and Kevin Love.

Love and Allen weren’t the only noticeable performances though. Cedi Osman put up 15 points and a box +/- of +7, proving that he’s a force off the bench. Rajon Rondo didn’t match his previous point output, putting up just five against Sacramento but he did have six assists and four rebounds. Lauri Markkanen even had 15 points and a box +/- of +4.

For the Kings, it was Tyrese Haliburton, who’s quickly making De’Aaron Fox expendable. He led the game in points with 21. Buddy Hield, in what could be his last month as a King, also put up a nice game, dropping 19 on Cleveland from the bench.

Cavs Top 3

  1. *Tie* Darius Garland/Evan Mobley
  2. Kevin Love
  3. Jarrett Allen

Darius Garland and Evan Mobley are both getting a single point this week. Mobley did a bit of everything, putting up 17 points, seven rebounds, and five assists, while having a box +/- of +7 was good, but double-doubles are going to get you noticed and Darius Garland’s 12 points and 11 assists can’t be ignored.

For the two-pointer, Kevin Love is up, tying a team-high of 18 points. Every one of them was needed to help hold off a Kings team that would not be denied in the second half.

Lastly, the three points of the game go to Jarrett Allen who also had the team-high tie of 18 points, but also pulled down a whopping 17 rebounds. Not a bad way to….rebound…after a lacking performance against the Warriors.

Yearly Standing:

  1. Jarrett Allen (45 points)
