Cleveland Cavaliers’ Lauri Markkanen & Lamar Stevens went full Gregor Clegane.

The mountainous duo of Lauri Markkanen and Lamar Stevens obliterated the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night, going full Gregor Clegane on them in their 111-91 drubbing. The Cleveland Cavaliers moved to 24-18 after the win, with the Spurs on the horizon for Thursday.

For Markkanen and Stevens, it was arguably their best outing in a few games, with Stevens really proving his worth after his contract was guaranteed for the rest of the year. Over his last three games, all starts, Stevens is averaging 16 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game. He’s also shooting 71% from the floor.

While the likes of Kevin Love, Jarrett Allen, and Evan Mobley all showed out, the only regular who didn’t have a good game against the Jazz was Cedi Osman, who shot just 3-12 from the floor, and went just 1-7 from three-point land. He finished with just eight points.

  2. Darius Garland
  3. Lauri Markkanen

You have to like how Lamar Stevens is stepping up in the wake of the recent injuries to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Stevens had 23 points while shooting 10-15 and pulling down seven rebounds. He finished with a box +/- of +18. That’s all good enough to get the one-point for the game.

The two points go to Darius Garland, who has been in a shooting slump as of late but was able to pull off a triple-double despite that. Garland, who was just 1-8 from three, had 11 points, 15 assists, and 10 rebounds. He also finished with a box +/- of +22.

The three points for the game go to Lauri Markkanen, who had a great night shooting, going 8-11 from the floor and 4-5 from three-point. He finished with 20 points, six rebounds, and a box+/- of +20. Not only was Markkanen’s defense spot on, but he had a monster dunk in the first half that seemingly broke the spirit of every Jazz fan and player alike who was watching.
