Cleveland Browns 1st-round pick: Treylon Burks Grade: A+

Dane Brugler speaks my language in the first round, selecting 6-foot-3 wideout Treylon Burks for the Cleveland Browns with the 13th pick.

For what’s worth, Kiper didn’t mock Burks in the first round. He had four receivers going ahead of the Arkansas product, including Alabama’s Jameson Williams, who is expected to miss the 2022 season after tearing his ACL injury in the national title game.

"“The Browns passing offense desperately needs another playmaker and Burks has the ability to create big plays. He has an outstanding blend of size (6-3, 228) and speed (4.45) with the tracking skills and catch radius to be a quarterback’s best friend. Burks, who led the SEC with 22 plays of 20-plus yards in 2021, reminds me of a linebacker-sized Deebo Samuel.”"

While we don’t know who the player will be, it’s looking like a good bet the Browns will get with a receiver at 13.

Right now, the wide receiver rooms consists of DPJ, Anthony Schwartz and Jarvis Landry. Keep in mind, it’s expected the Browns and Landry part ways this offseason, although anything is possible.

If you’re looking at free agency as an option to fill the room, I wouldn’t look for a major addition. It’s cheaper to fill this need through the draft, and it’s probably what the front office prefers.
